Mixed Age Family Classes

1-day per week - Saturdays

Morning | Age 2 -4yr | 9:15 - 11:45 PM

Age Requirement: Age 2 years by September 1st, 2026 must not turn 5 years before June 1st, 2027

Class Size: 14 children. Parents attend class with their child every week.

Teachers: Minoo Gupta is the Head Teacher for this class, along with one (1) Assistant Teacher.

Afternoon | Age 3 - 6 yr | 12:30 - 3:30 PM

Age Requirement: Age 3 years by September 1st, 2025 must not turn 7 years by June 1st, 2026

Class Size: 18 children. Parents attend class with their child every week.

Teachers: Jutta Braken-Guelke is the Head Teacher for this class, along with one (2) Assistant Teacher.

Our Saturday classes offer a multi-age, family-oriented format that accommodates a weekly Mountain School experience for the whole family.

Curriculum: In the Saturday classes, we

• collaborate and solve problems,

• play, explore, and challenge ourselves,

• incorporating cultural activities that reflect the diversity of the class

The emergent curriculum revolves around children’s needs, interests, desires, and strengths. Children in these mixed-age classes have different developmental needs that are met by a variety of activities such as

• engaging in small and large group cooperative play

• encourage interest in peer groups that challenge abilities

• model cooperative play

• build social-emotional and communication skills

Meeting Locations:

Saturday classes meet in the school yard at our Black Road location. Classes will conduct hikes and field trips, contingent on the class’s developmental level and the availability of weekend locations.
